Having a messy room or too many people who keep moving around in your room during your video meetings??? It becomes very essential to hide these from your co-workers, family & friends over a Zoom call.
Here comes the idea of virtual background for the rescue. With virtual backgrounds we can hide the actual background & make it virtual with some image or GIFs as your backgrounds.

  1. Login to the Zoom account.
  2. Go to Settings → Backgrounds & Filters → Virtual Backgrounds.
Initially it would be None as the default selected option. If you like to have your same background but on a blur effect, choose Blur & see to the changes that appear on your video.
By default, we have a couple of existing backgrounds from Zoom like the Golden Gate Bridge, some blades of grass, or a shot of Earth from outer space.

3. To customize the background from the default ones, click on the + sign at. the right corner. Choose to pick any image or video from your local. This would allow to upload the required background images to be used as the virtual background images.

Add the images of your choice & start enjoying these as virtual backgrounds for your further calls.

To remove any photos you uploaded from the virtual backgrounds, tap the X in the top left corner of the uploaded images/videos.

Pro Tips:

To have a clear & a fresh look of your video on the calls, there are couple of pro-tips that helps you look good even at low-light. Move to the SettingsVideo.
Choose your camera & then under My Video section, enable the Touch up my appearance & adjust he touch up requirement.
Also enable the Adjust for low light option, to keep your face focused even in low-light.

Have a happy meeting with all happy, cheerful & blissful virtual backgrounds.
